A picture worth framing
I've been working with Lister Trade Frames since around 2004. They're a great company, and an undeniable proof that it's possible to grow profitably even in adverse market conditions. As well as creating their corporate ID and developing Elitis, their retail brand, writing and producing countless brochures, shooting videos, creating DVDs, CD-ROMs and even a couple of corporate games, I've worked with them on a number of Web projects.
It's an unusual case, because the Lister name is well-known and respected in the replacement window industry. They're a large manufacturer and a significant leader in their marketplace. But they sell exclusively to trade customers. The installer controls the retail market. That's why we created the Elitis brand; it allows installers to present a major, recognised brand name without compromising their independence.
Windows in Stoke on Trent
The Elitis Website is Listers' retail shop window.
It's focused on the end-user, with little reference to the Listers involvement. It plays an important part in the marketing mix because it allows Listers to showcase their Elitis replacement windows brand and also demonstrate their pride to be part of the Stoke on Trent business community.
The site also provides a hub for the Elitis-branded Websites provided for installers as part of their customer package, providing installer-specific warranty registration and other services.

The Big Trade Counter
Listers' trade counter opens every morning at 7.00am for trade customers. It's always packed with installers collecting their supplies for the day. But by 11 o'clock things have quieted down, so it made sense to open the trade counter to the general public. The Big Trade Counter Website allows customers to buy on-line at keen, trade prices, while customers local to Stoke on Trent can use it to pre-order and collect their DIY requirements.
There's also a trade log-in facility to allow trade customers to pre-order so that their list has been pre-picked when they arrive to collect.

Lister Trade Frames
The Lister Trade Frames Website sits behind it all to provide corporate information, approvals and affiliations as well as an RSS feed and a full overview of products and services.
The Trade Frames Website also provides a portal to allow installers to access powerful on-line tools to handle quotes, specifications and more.
Acting as the fulcrum of the Web structure, this Website provides a solid anchor for the on-line strategy of a conspicuously successful client whom we frequently use as an example of how things should be done.
